What we collect

• Account info: email, display name, and authentication identifiers (e.g. if you sign in with Google).
• Trade data: the trades, notes, screenshots, rules, and practice sessions you enter or import.
• Broker connection metadata: tokens and identifiers needed to read fills from your broker. Connections are read-only.
• Usage data: anonymized analytics about which pages are visited and how features perform, so we can improve the product.
• Billing info: handled by our payments processor — we never see or store your full card number.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data. Ever.
• We don't share your trades with other users or third parties.
• We don't place trades on your account — broker access is strictly read-only.
• We don't run advertising trackers across the app.

How we use your data

To operate the service: authenticate you, store your trades and preferences, generate your analytics and discipline scores, sync from your broker, send you account and billing emails, and improve the product over time.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of vendors to run TradeGuard:

• A managed cloud backend for authentication, database, and file storage.
• A payments processor for subscription billing.
• An AI provider that powers replay analysis and grading.
• Email delivery for transactional messages.
• Analytics for anonymous usage measurement.

Each vendor only receives the minimum data needed to do its job, and is bound by its own privacy and security commitments.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies (and equivalent local storage) to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies.

Data retention

Your trade data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and trades are removed within 30 days, except for records we're legally required to keep (e.g. billing receipts).

Your rights

You can export all of your data as CSV/JSON from your account page at any time, and you can delete your account. Depending on where you live (EU/UK, California, etc.) you may have additional rights to access, correct, or restrict processing of your data — to exercise any of these, contact us.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Row-level access controls ensure only you can see your own trades. If you believe you've found a security issue, please reach out via the contact form.
